Why Bret Hart and Steve Austin are not on the inductee list
Bret Hart and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin received the inaugural WWE Immortal Moment award for their WrestleMania 13 submission match, with Ken Shamrock as special guest referee. The award recognized the match; it was not a Hall of Fame induction. Hart and Austin were already Hall of Famers, so neither should be counted as a new 2025 inductee. WWE’s award announcement describes the recognition.
