For the nWo’s best-documented core, the answer is mixed: Hulk Hogan and Scott Hall have died; Kevin Nash, Sean Waltman and Eric Bischoff are remembered for their roles in the faction, but the cited official profiles do not provide a current-work update for them. “Every member” needs a qualification: the nWo expanded across WCW and later WWE storylines, and WWE’s official profile and Hall of Fame announcement do not establish a complete roster. This guide focuses on the founding story, the four members WWE recognized together, and Bischoff’s distinct executive and on-screen role.
Who were the nWo’s core members?
The New World Order began in WCW in 1996 with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, the “Outsiders.” Hulk Hogan’s turn from WCW to join them established the central nWo story. Sean Waltman joined shortly afterward as Syxx; WWE identifies him by that name in its nWo profile. Many viewers later knew him as X-Pac.
WWE’s December 2019 announcement named “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan, Hall, Nash and Waltman as the nWo members set for the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame class. That is a clear, official group of four—not a complete count of everyone connected to the nWo across its different incarnations.
| Person | nWo identity or role | What is established about them now |
|---|---|---|
| Hulk Hogan | Joined Hall and Nash to form the nWo | Died July 24, 2025, aged 71 |
| Scott Hall | Outsider; founding member | Died in March 2022 |
| Kevin Nash | Outsider; later led the Wolfpac splinter group | WWE’s profile establishes his nWo and Wolfpac legacy, not a current-work update |
| Sean Waltman | Joined as Syxx; later widely known as X-Pac | WWE’s nWo profile and Hall of Fame announcement establish his faction legacy, not a current-work update |
| Eric Bischoff | WCW executive and on-screen nWo participant | WWE’s profile establishes his WCW and nWo roles, not a current-project list |
Where are the four Hall of Fame members now?
Hulk Hogan
Hogan’s allegiance to Hall and Nash was the defining turn in the nWo’s origin: WWE describes him as betraying WCW fans and joining the Outsiders. Hogan died on July 24, 2025, at age 71, according to WWE’s memorial published that day. On June 8, 2026, the Associated Press reported that Clearwater police had closed their investigation, determining the death was natural and non-criminal. Those are the reported findings; they should not be replaced with speculation about his cause of death.

Scott Hall
Hall arrived in WCW with Nash in 1996 and became a founding nWo member alongside Nash and Hogan. WWE’s memorial records Hall’s two WWE Hall of Fame inductions: as Razor Ramon in 2014 and with the nWo in 2020. He died in March 2022.
Kevin Nash
Nash was one of the two Outsiders who launched the faction’s story with Hall. WWE also identifies him as a later leader of the Wolfpac, the nWo splinter group. He was among the four members in WWE’s 2020 group induction. WWE’s Kevin Nash profile documents those parts of his wrestling legacy but does not provide a comprehensive update on his current work.

Sean Waltman: Syxx and X-Pac
Waltman joined the nWo as Syxx after its founding. WWE’s official group announcement included him with Hogan, Hall and Nash in the 2020 Hall of Fame class. Syxx and X-Pac are names associated with the same wrestler at different points in his career; keeping both names visible helps distinguish the nWo-era identity from the name familiar to many WWE audiences. The cited WWE material confirms his faction history, not a current schedule or project list.
Why is Eric Bischoff part of the story?
Bischoff was a WCW executive as well as an on-screen nWo participant. WWE’s profile says he helped bring Hogan to WCW and launched Nitro, and also says he joined the nWo. His executive contribution and his faction membership are related but distinct: he was not one of the four members named in WWE’s 2020 nWo group Hall of Fame announcement. WWE’s profile establishes that history, not a comprehensive list of his current projects.

Does this cover every nWo member?
No. The faction expanded through multiple WCW incarnations and later WWE storylines, with wrestlers and other on-screen associates connected to it. The official WWE material cited here supports the founding account and identifies four members for the group Hall of Fame induction; it does not supply an authoritative, person-by-person roster of everyone ever associated with the nWo. A list that labels those four—or the five people covered here—as every member would overstate what is established.
The clearest answer to “Where are they now?” is therefore a focused one: Hogan and Hall have died; the documented nWo legacies of Nash, Waltman and Bischoff remain clear, but the cited profiles do not establish their present-day work. Their roles also differ: the founding wrestlers, a later joiner known as Syxx, and an executive who became an on-screen participant should not be treated as interchangeable kinds of membership.
