Roman Reigns wins the WWE World Heavyweight Title match against Jacob Fatu, but the finish and aftermath make the victory look more like survival than dominance. In Social Suplex’s account, Reigns resorts to a series of opportunistic tactics, and Fatu is back on his feet after the pin to attack him. That sequence supports an interpretation of Reigns as a champion whose authority remains unsettled—not a factual verdict about who is or is not the “true Tribal Chief.”
What happened in the title match?
Social Suplex identifies the bout as a WWE World Heavyweight Title match between champion Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu, with Reigns winning by pinfall. The review describes Reigns clawing at Fatu’s eyes, removing a turnbuckle pad, driving Fatu into the exposed steel, and then landing a quick Spear to secure the pin. Social Suplex’s match review is the source for that sequence; it is a critic’s account, not WWE’s official event record.
Why does the win feel incomplete?
A pinfall settles the recorded result, but it does not necessarily make a wrestler look dominant. The review’s account emphasizes how Reigns got the win: the eye attack and exposed turnbuckle suggest a desperate opening, while the quick Spear converts that opening into a pin. The finish, as described, gives Reigns the result without showing him decisively overpowering Fatu.
That distinction is central to the Tribal Chief argument. Authority in wrestling is conveyed through control as much as through a win. A champion who appears to need an improvised shortcut may leave viewers questioning whether he commands the match—or merely escaped it.

How does Fatu’s aftermath change the meaning?
Social Suplex says Fatu immediately got back to his feet, appeared contemptuous of Reigns’s tactics, and attacked and choked him after the bell. In the reviewer’s reading, that recovery sharply undercuts the impression that Reigns had established himself as the better man. The challenger’s post-match assault becomes the final image of the encounter, rather than Reigns standing unchallenged as champion.
The sequence does not undo the pinfall. It does, however, give the victory an unstable emotional finish: Reigns gets the title-match win, while Fatu appears physically capable of continuing the fight and willing to impose himself afterward.

Is Roman Reigns really “not ready” to be the Tribal Chief?
That is an evaluative character argument, not a status established by the match report. Social Suplex’s reviewer calls Reigns “weak and pathetic” next to Fatu and argues that the victory did not prove Reigns was the better man. Those are the critic’s judgments, not an official WWE conclusion or an objective measure of Tribal Chief status.
The more precise case is about presentation: Reigns wins, but the described tactics and Fatu’s immediate retaliation do not project unquestioned control. Whether that means Reigns is unfit to be the Tribal Chief depends on the standard being applied. If the role requires dominance and authority, this finish can be read as a setback. If it requires only winning the match, Reigns did what the result demanded.

What the result does—and does not—establish
- Established by the review: Reigns won the reported title match by pinfall, and the reviewer describes the exposed-turnbuckle sequence and Fatu’s post-match attack.
- The reviewer’s interpretation: Reigns’s tactics made him look inferior to Fatu despite the victory.
- Not established by this source: an official WWE judgment on Tribal Chief status, or independent confirmation of the event date, venue, full chronology, and Reigns’s current championship status.
Social Suplex’s page is a review rather than an official WWE record, and it does not confirm a publication date. Its account supports an argument about how this particular finish reads; it should not be treated as a complete event history or a current-status update.
