ESPN Unlimited is ESPN’s all-access streaming plan. It includes the ESPN Select library—formerly ESPN+—plus ESPN’s live networks, ESPN on ABC events, studio programming, replays, originals, and additional sports services. For documentary viewers, the important distinction is that Unlimited adds live sports channels and broader ESPN programming; it is not simply a larger on-demand film library.
Prices and channel lineups can change, so the figures below reflect ESPN’s published information as of August 9, 2026.
ESPN Unlimited pricing
| Plan | Price | Approximate yearly cost |
|---|---|---|
| ESPN Select Monthly | $12.99/month | $155.88 |
| ESPN Select Annual | $129.99/year | $129.99 |
| ESPN Unlimited Monthly | $29.99/month | $359.88 |
| ESPN Unlimited Annual | $299.99/year | $299.99 |
The annual Unlimited plan saves approximately $59.89 compared with paying $29.99 every month for 12 months. ESPN may change prices, and subscriptions can be subject to different terms when purchased through a provider or app store.
What is included with ESPN Select?
ESPN Select is the replacement name for ESPN+. It provides more than 30,000 live events, along with on-demand programming. Its sports coverage includes LALIGA, Bundesliga, FA Cup matches, PGA TOUR coverage, NHL games, college sports, Premier Lacrosse League programming, replays, and ESPN originals.

- HD streaming made simple: With America’s number 1 TV streaming platform,* exploring popular apps—plus tons of free movies, shows, and live TV—is as easy as it is fun. *Based on hours streamed—Hypothesis Group
- Compact without compromises: The sleek design of Roku Streaming Stick won’t block neighboring HDMI ports, and it even powers from your TV alone, plugging into the back and staying out of sight. No wall outlet, no extra cords, no clutter.
- No more juggling remotes: Power up your TV, adjust the volume, and control your Roku device with one remote. Use your voice to quickly search, play entertainment, and more.
- Shows on the go: Take your TV to-go when traveling—without needing to log into someone else’s device.
- TV, simplified: With setup that only takes minutes, a simple-to-navigate Home Screen, and an uncluttered remote control that does all you need—Roku makes it easier to watch the TV you love.
Select does not include the live ESPN cable networks. That is the dividing line between the two direct ESPN plans: Select is the lower-priced ESPN+ successor, while Unlimited adds the live network package.
What channels does ESPN Unlimited include?
ESPN Unlimited includes everything in Select and the following networks and services:
- ESPN
- ESPN2
- ESPNU
- ESPNNEWS
- ESPN Deportes
- SEC Network, listed by ESPN as SECN
- ACC Network, listed as ACCN
- ESPN+
- ESPN on ABC
- SECN+
- ACCNX
- NFL Network
- CW Sports
NFL Network and CW Sports appear in ESPN’s newer official channel list. Older launch descriptions may omit them, so a list copied from an earlier announcement can be incomplete.
Access to a network does not mean that every event carried by every television provider will be available. ESPN notes that provider-supplied Unlimited access may leave out content the provider does not carry.

ESPN Unlimited covers live and on-demand programming across a wide range of sports. Examples include:
- NFL, including Monday Night Football
- NBA and WNBA
- NHL and MLB
- College football, including ACC, Big 12, and SEC games and College Football Playoff coverage
- Men’s and women’s college basketball
- Tennis and golf majors
- WWE programming
- LALIGA, Bundesliga, NWSL, and FA Cup coverage
- SportsCenter, First Take, College GameDay, Get Up, and NFL Live
- ESPN Originals, 30 for 30 films, E60, replays, and other on-demand shows
For documentary fans, 30 for 30, E60, ESPN Originals, and the broader replay library are the most relevant parts of the service. However, Unlimited is primarily a sports streaming subscription. It should not be treated as a replacement for a general documentary platform, and the availability of an individual film or episode can change.

ESPN Unlimited is not a complete cable replacement
Unlimited brings ESPN’s listed networks into a streaming subscription, but it does not supply every channel needed for a traditional television package. It does not include unrelated networks such as TNT, TBS, CBS, NBC, FOX, or regional sports networks.
That matters when an event is split between broadcasters. Buying ESPN Unlimited will not automatically provide access to a game or program whose rights belong to another network. It also does not remove local or regional blackouts.

Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Unlimited bundle
ESPN currently advertises a Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Unlimited bundle starting at $35.99 per month. It combines the three services, but they retain separate apps and different content libraries.
- There is currently no free trial for the bundle.
- There is no single combined streaming application.
- ESPN content can be viewed in the ESPN app; some ESPN programming is also available through Disney+ or Hulu.
- Some content is available only in the ESPN app.
- The services use the same MyDisney email address and password.
- Existing ESPN subscribers may need to wait until the current billing cycle ends before moving to the bundle.
- Changing plans can remove promotional pricing or a free-trial entitlement.
The older launch offer of $29.99 per month for the first 12 months ended on January 5, 2026. It should not be assumed to be the current standard bundle price.
ESPN and FOX One bundle
Another option is the ESPN, FOX One Bundle, priced at $39.99 per month. It combines ESPN Unlimited with FOX One, which includes FOX News, FOX Business, FOX Weather, FOX Sports, FS1, FS2, Big Ten Network, FOX Deportes, the FOX Network, and local FOX stations.
The bundle is sold through the ESPN and FOX websites rather than Disney+ or Hulu. ESPN and FOX programming remains in their respective apps, so it is a combined billing offer—not one unified viewing app.

Activating Unlimited through a TV provider
Some pay-TV and live-TV services include ESPN Unlimited at no additional charge. ESPN lists participating options including Hulu + Live TV, DIRECTV, Fubo TV, Spectrum, Verizon FiOS, U-verse, Cox, and Comcast Xfinity. Eligibility and the included content depend on the provider package.
Common activation paths include:
| Provider | Activation path |
|---|---|
| Xfinity | Xfinity.com/yoursubscriptions → Activate beside ESPN → Activate ESPN Unlimited |
| DIRECTV | DIRECTV.com → SIGN IN → TV Package → Activate ESPN Unlimited → Activate Now |
| Fubo | fubo.tv/welcome → Sign In → My Account → Subscription → ESPN Unlimited → Activate Now |
| Spectrum | spectrum.net → Sign In → Manage TV/Streaming → Activate Your Included Apps → ESPN Unlimited |
| Verizon FiOS | Use the ESPN activation email, or open My Verizon → Unified Dashboard → Activate ESPN Unlimited |
| Hulu + Live TV | Sign in to ESPN.com or the ESPN app with the MyDisney credentials associated with Hulu + Live TV |
After the provider redirects you to ESPN, select Agree & Activate. The provider entitlement must be connected to a MyDisney login before it can be used in the ESPN app. If you cancel or change the qualifying provider package, the included ESPN access can end as well.
Streams, household use, and account recovery
ESPN supports up to three simultaneous streams on ESPN.com and in the ESPN app for most live and on-demand content. A provider’s own application may apply different limits.

Blackouts and location restrictions
ESPN Unlimited does not bypass blackouts. An event may be unavailable because of local, regional, league, conference, or rights-holder agreements. ESPN uses information such as IP address and device location to determine where the viewer is located; disabling location access can prevent playback.

Upgrade from Select to Unlimited
- Sign in to ESPN.com using a computer or mobile browser.
- Select the profile picture → Account.
- Select the current subscription under Your Plan.
- Select Change and choose ESPN Unlimited.
- Select Review Changes → Agree & Subscribe.
The upgrade takes effect immediately and uses a prorated charge. Moving from Unlimited down to Select takes effect on the next billing date.
Cancel a direct ESPN subscription
- Go to ESPN.com and sign in.
- Select the profile picture → Account under Manage My Account.
- Select Manage Subscription.
- Choose the subscription under Plans & Billing.
- Select the plan → Cancel, then confirm.
Cancellation stops renewal but normally leaves access available through the end of the paid billing period. ESPN does not provide refunds or credits for partially used periods. If Apple, Google, Roku, or another billing partner charges you, cancellation must be completed through that partner.
There is no pause option for ESPN Unlimited. The practical alternative is to cancel auto-renewal and retain access until the current paid period ends.

Is ESPN Unlimited worth it?
Unlimited is the logical choice for viewers who need ESPN’s live networks as well as ESPN Select’s on-demand library. It is especially useful for households following several college conferences, national sports leagues, ESPN studio shows, and ESPN documentary brands such as 30 for 30.
Select is better value if the main goal is ESPN’s streaming library and its Select-only live events. Unlimited is not the right answer when the missing program is on CBS, NBC, FOX, TNT, TBS, or a regional sports network—or when a blackout applies. Before subscribing annually, check the channels and rights for the specific sports and documentaries you actually plan to watch.
FAQ
Does ESPN Unlimited include ESPN+?
Yes. ESPN Unlimited includes everything in ESPN Select, which is the replacement name for ESPN+, plus ESPN’s listed live networks and services.
Does ESPN Unlimited include 30 for 30 documentaries?
ESPN lists 30 for 30 films, E60, ESPN Originals, replays, and other on-demand programming among its content. Individual titles can change availability.
How many people can watch ESPN Unlimited at once?
ESPN supports up to three simultaneous streams on ESPN.com and in the ESPN app for most content. A television provider’s own app may have different limits, and ESPN says subscriptions should not be shared outside the household.
Can I watch every sports event with ESPN Unlimited?
No. ESPN Unlimited does not include unrelated networks, and blackouts, regional rights, league agreements, location, and scheduling can restrict particular events.
The Bottom Line
ESPN Unlimited costs $29.99 per month or $299.99 per year and adds ESPN’s live networks to the ESPN Select library. It is a strong option for viewers who want live ESPN coverage alongside sports documentaries, 30 for 30, E60, originals, and replays. It is not a complete cable replacement, does not defeat blackouts, and does not include every network carrying sports.
