Murphy também chamou a reação da família de “a lot of faux outrage” — “muita indignação fingida”, em tradução. A defesa do criador explica a intenção que ele atribuiu à série, mas não substitui a avaliação das evidências nem resolve a disputa sobre o que aconteceu.
