There is no reliable, fully dated list establishing Eminem’s first ten songs by recording date. The earliest recordings identified in the available sources include Soul Intent tracks, while the ten-song sequence that can be listed consistently is the opening ten tracks on his 1996 album Infinite. That is album order, not proof of recording chronology.
What “first songs” can mean
The phrase can refer to different kinds of chronology: when a song was recorded, when it was released, where it appears on an album, or its earliest known appearance with a group. Those are not interchangeable. In particular, the position of a track on Infinite does not tell us when it was recorded relative to Soul Intent material.
- First-ever songs by recording date: the sources do not establish a defensible first-ten list.
- Earliest documented recordings: a fan-maintained recordings page identifies Soul Intent’s “fucking Backstabber” and “Biterphobia” under 1996, but warns that its recordings section is outdated; it does not establish which came first or precise recording dates. Eminem Recordings
- A reproducible ten-track sequence: the first ten tracks on Infinite, in the album’s published order.
Eminem’s first album and its timeline
Infinite is identified as Eminem’s first album. The album reference consulted dates its release through Web Entertainment to 12 November 1996, while Eminem is quoted in his 2008 autobiography, The Way I Am, as saying, “I recorded Infinite in 1995, my first album.” The recording year he recalled and the album’s release date are separate facts. GRAMMY.com likewise describes Infinite as his first album and places it in the period before his fame and the Slim Shady persona. That context does not establish the recording date of each track. GRAMMY.com’s Eminem profile

Where “Backstabber” fits—and what the label means
A book excerpt describes “Backstabber” as Eminem’s “very first professionally recorded single.” That is a secondary-source characterization of a professionally recorded single; it does not establish that the song was his first-ever composition or recording, nor does it supply an exact recording date. The same excerpt reports that 1,000 copies of Infinite were pressed; this is a reported figure, not an independently audited label count. Academic book excerpt
The Soul Intent recording page lists “fucking Backstabber” and “Biterphobia” under 1996, but its warning that the recordings section is outdated matters: it cannot settle their order against each other or their timing relative to Infinite. Eminem Recordings
