So the claim that Emily’s chemistry with Alfie intensifies is best understood as a review judgment about the unresolved pull between them, rather than a promise that their romance develops on equal footing with Gabriel’s.
Do the other storylines support the romance?
The series’ wider world keeps the romantic conflict from being the only source of pressure. Netflix’s season overview also frames Sylvie as confronting a dilemma from her past that affects her marriage, Agence Grateau as navigating personnel changes, and Mindy and her band as trying to stretch their funds while preparing for Eurovision.
