In a report published on 23 June 2024, PerthNow said Perth influencer Em Davies visited Chu Bakery in Mt Lawley while pregnant, then took treats to Hyde Park. The report described her outfit and shared details from the couple’s earlier pregnancy announcement; it is a historical account, not a current pregnancy update.
What PerthNow reported about the outing
PerthNow said Davies visited Chu Bakery on a Sunday and bought treats. The report described her wearing an unbuttoned white linen top, a grey coat and a silky maxi skirt. It said she shared seven photographs of a relaxed weekend, including a pose outside the bakery and a later moment sitting with the baked goods in Hyde Park.
The report attributed this caption to Davies’s Instagram post: “This is ur sign to go get a lil treat w ur bestie n go to the park n lay in the sun 🌷🧺🌿🧁”. The original post was not independently inspected for this account.
What was known about the pregnancy announcement in 2024
PerthNow reported that Davies and her fiancé, Joel Gambin, announced in February 2024 that they were expecting their first child. The report described an announcement video in which Gambin cradled Davies’s stomach as they held an ultrasound image. It attributed this caption to the couple’s post: “The universe said we had a plan 👼🏼🍼 baby gambin en route 🤍happy anniversary to us”.

PerthNow also reported that the announcement post received more than 14,000 likes in 30 minutes. That is the publication’s account of social engagement, not independently checked platform data. The report described Davies as 29 and having more than 400,000 followers at the time; neither figure should be read as current.
What the report does not establish
- It names no brand or retailer for Davies’s clothing, so the outfit cannot be identified as a specific product.
- It does not establish that the Chu Bakery visit was sponsored, endorsed or part of an affiliate arrangement.
