The London show once billed as an Elvis Presley hologram experience was Elvis Evolution, an immersive production announced for ExCeL London’s Immerse LDN. It has since completed its London run and is no longer on sale. Although early announcements promoted AI and holographic projection, the available event listings do not confirm that a performing hologram appeared in the show as delivered.
What was Elvis Evolution?
Elvis Evolution was announced as a technology-led tribute experience focused on Elvis Presley’s 1968 television special. ExCeL London said it would combine multi-sensory technology, generative AI, personal archive material and interactive entertainment. The venue also said a partnership with Elvis Presley Enterprises and Authentic Brands Group provided access to thousands of personal photographs and hours of home-video archive material. Those details described the planned production in ExCeL’s 22 October 2024 announcement, rather than an independent assessment of the finished experience. ExCeL London’s announcement
Later event descriptions characterized the show as a blend of technology, theatre, projection, music and multi-sensory effects. Tickets for Good’s listing also described live actors and musicians alongside multimedia and digital technology. These descriptions support calling it an immersive experience, but do not establish that Elvis himself appeared as a hologram.
Was Elvis actually a hologram on stage?
Holographic projection and AI were part of the announcement-era language. West End Theatre’s 4 January 2024 report described an intended London launch in November 2024 and referred to AI, holographic projection, augmented reality, live theatre and multi-sensory effects. That is evidence of how the concept was promoted, not proof of the effect ultimately presented to audiences. West End Theatre’s January 2024 report

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The current event listing confirms the show’s London run is over, but it does not verify a performing hologram. It describes a technology-led tribute and notes that Elvis died in 1977; it does not claim he literally appeared live. The careful answer is therefore that a hologram was promoted, while its presence in the finished experience is not established by the available event listings. West End Theatre’s current listing
When was it announced, and when did the plan change?
- 4 January 2024: West End Theatre reported an intended November 2024 launch and the early AI-and-holographic-projection concept.
- 22 October 2024: ExCeL London announced Elvis Evolution for Immerse LDN, then planning an opening in May 2025. The venue said ticket sales would begin on 25 October 2024.
- 2026 listing: West End Theatre now says the London production has completed its run and is no longer playing or on sale. The listing gives a running time of 110 minutes and age guidance of 10+.
The launch date and hologram language changed between announcement stages, so the early “later this year” framing should not be read as a current event notice. A supplementary Tickets for Good event listing gives an ended April 2026 date window. Tickets for Good’s event listing

Could the 1968 special be watched separately?
ExCeL described Elvis’s 1968 special as central to the experience, so the special itself is a related archival-media subject. The event announcement does not identify a particular DVD or Blu-ray edition, and the available material does not establish a current UK retail listing. A disc release, if found through a retailer, would be separate from the closed immersive show and would not provide admission to it.
