Lily has an affair with Natasha, played by Pear Chiravara. The film’s intimate storyline drew attention because mother and son discussed the scene and their work together in a March 2024 interview with Vogue.
What happens in the scene?
Lily’s relationship with Natasha is part of the film’s plot, not documentary footage. The scene depicts the characters’ intimacy; it does not establish anything about the performers’ personal lives or identities.
Vogue reported that Lily had been written as a man in earlier drafts. Damian Hurley said he later reconsidered the character while looking for a sexier direction for the script. Elizabeth Hurley had previously promised to appear in her son’s first film and said she was pleased to receive a substantial role.
What did Elizabeth and Damian Hurley say about filming it?
Elizabeth Hurley told Vogue: “I found it was the most comfortable I’ve ever been in an intimate scene.” She said filming took place on a closed set. She also explained that the production did not have an intimacy coordinator because the budget could not support one. Those details come from the interview, rather than independently published production records.
