What is known about Murphy’s Beverly Hills estate?
Realtor.com reported in 2025 that Murphy bought the land for his Beverly Hills estate for $10 million in 2001. Its account describes a 33,600-square-foot home completed in 2003 and says some estimates put the property’s value as high as $85 million, while noting that estimates vary. The $85 million figure is an upper-end estimate reported by Realtor.com, not an appraisal or sale price. Realtor.com’s report does not establish a current verified value, mortgage balance or net equity.
A property’s estimated market value is not the same as the owner’s equity: that would require knowing the current value, any debt secured against it and the ownership details. The reported land purchase price and variable home estimates therefore cannot be used to calculate Murphy’s present net worth.
