Its credited cast includes Googoosh, Omid Djalili, Shervin Alenabi, Eyelar, Andy and producer Ilya Salmanzadeh. It is separate from the pink-heart-balloon video Warner Music Ireland described alongside the single’s release.
Who made the official “Azizam” video?
The page titled “Ed Sheeran // Azizam (Official Music Video)” credits Saman Kesh as writer and director, with Atlantic Records listed as the label. The cast credits name Googoosh, Andy, Omid Djalili, Shervin Alenabi, Eyelar and Ilya Salmanzadeh.
How is it different from the pink-heart-balloon video?
Warner Music Ireland’s April 4, 2025 release announcement describes a separate video following Sheeran through the United States and United Kingdom with a pink, heart-shaped balloon. Its named locations include New York, Los Angeles, rural Massachusetts, New Orleans, Boston, Nashville and Ipswich Town FC. That release-announcement video and the separately credited official music video are distinct references; the available descriptions do not establish them as one continuous visual.
When did “Azizam” come out, and what does the title mean?
Warner Music Ireland announced the single’s release on April 4, 2025, with CD, 7-inch and digital editions. The label gives “Azizam” as a Persian term of endearment meaning “my dear” or “my beloved.” It describes the song’s origins as studio sessions with Swedish/Iranian producer Ilya Salmanzadeh and frames its sound as Persian and Irish folk influences brought into a pop context; that is the label’s characterization of this song, not a general description of either musical tradition.

Sheeran said of the track: “Even though it’s completely different to anything that I’ve ever done before, Azizam feels familiar to me. I wanted to create a party atmosphere in a song and Ilya Salmanzadeh, who I worked with on the track, helped bring that to life. He was so inspiring to work with.” The quotation appeared in Warner Music Ireland’s release announcement.
Where does the song sit in Sheeran’s releases?
Apple Music catalogs the one-song single as a 2025 pop release dated April 4, 2025, and lists a two-minute duration for the track. Atlantic Records later included “Azizam” as track three on Sheeran’s album Play.
