That means its creator, release date and contents—and what pollution threat it may describe—remain unconfirmed. Separate public records do document pollution incidents affecting Faughan tributaries and provide dated monitoring findings, but they do not establish what the film shows.
Where to watch Faughan—and what is known about the film
There is not enough verified information to direct viewers to a YouTube listing or confirm that the film has premiered. The searches available for this article found no official YouTube page, filmmaker page, dated premiere announcement or reliable report identifying Faughan. The title alone does not establish who made it, when it was released, or what it alleges.
Accordingly, the pollution records below are regional context, not a synopsis or confirmation of the documentary’s claims. They should not be attributed to the film unless a verifiable copy or statement from its makers establishes that connection.
What reporting says about pollution incidents affecting the Faughan
RTÉ reported on May 18, 2023, that a joint venture constructing part of the A6 pleaded guilty to one water-pollution offence and was fined £10,000. The court heard that inspectors investigated 14 incidents affecting tributaries of the Faughan and Roe between June 2019 and November 9, 2020. Suspended solids were reported to have affected up to 8 km of the rivers. These figures describe the incidents discussed in that case; they do not establish the source or extent of any pollution mentioned in the unverified film. Read RTÉ’s report.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
RTÉ also noted that the Faughan and its tributaries are designated a Special Area of Conservation for Atlantic salmon and otter. That status explains why pollution in these waters matters for protected habitats and wildlife; it does not, by itself, identify the cause of a particular incident.
What official records say about Mobuoy and PFAS
A Northern Ireland Assembly answer dated May 1, 2024, said the Mobuoy Environmental Monitoring Programme tested for PFAS upstream and downstream of the Faughan and in groundwater beneath the waste site. It reported no PFAS detections in the sampled Faughan water at either river location as of that answer, while PFAS had been detected in groundwater below the site. This is a dated account of specified samples, not a finding about current water quality or proof that the film concerns PFAS. Read the Assembly answer.

The distinction between river water and groundwater matters: a detection in groundwater beneath a site is not the same result as a detection in the sampled river water. Nor does a report of no detections in those river samples establish that no contaminant was present in every location or at every time.
Historical monitoring and the 2016 fish kill
An Assembly response dated June 22, 2016, described water-chemistry monitoring at nine Faughan sites and said the latest annual classifications then available, for 2015, were good or better at all nine. Those classifications are historical and cannot be used to characterize present conditions. Read the Assembly response.

The Irish News reported a major fish kill in 2016 and said further testing was needed before conclusions about its cause could be reached. Eamonn McCann, identified in the report as a People Before Profit assembly member, said: “The immediate point is that concern about the human and environmental dangers of pollution of the Faughan has been signalled for some considerable time by those in the best position to know what was happening.” That is McCann’s attributed statement, not a finding identifying the cause of the fish kill. Read the Irish News report.
In a March 2016 blog post, McCann also discussed concerns about potentially toxic waste near a Faughan tributary and reported assurances that tap water posed no immediate risk at that time. The post is political commentary from 2016, not current water-monitoring evidence. Read McCann’s post.

How pollution reports are handled
In a written Assembly answer dated June 17, 2025, DAERA said members of the public and professional partners can report pollution incidents to the Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) by hotline or email. Reports are investigated and assessed for severity. DAERA said NIEA’s initial priority is to stop a polluting discharge at its source and, where possible, mitigate harm to the receiving waterway. The answer also described a continuous response officer for the Mobuoy site. Read the Assembly answer.
If you witness a suspected discharge, report it promptly through the current contact details published by DAERA or NIEA; verify those details on the official page before calling or emailing. Record what you can safely observe—location, time, appearance, smell and direction of flow—without entering the water or approaching a hazardous site. A report allows the agency to assess an incident; it is not itself confirmation of the pollutant or its cause.

How to assess claims about the film
Until a verifiable film listing or copy is available, treat claims about its premiere, maker and contents as unconfirmed. To evaluate any pollution claim associated with it, look for the location and date of sampling, whether the sample was river water or groundwater, which substance was measured, and whether the evidence comes from official monitoring, court reporting or attributed commentary. These sources answer different questions and should not be treated as interchangeable.
