That makes the form an official part of Daima’s story and product context, and gives fans a striking bridge to a transformation already familiar from Dragon Ball GT. It does not, by itself, establish that GT and Daima share continuity or that their versions of SSJ4 are identical.
Is SSJ4 in Dragon Ball Daima?
Yes. The name appears in official Daima-related material: Tamashii Nations calls its collectible “SUPER SAIYAN 4 SON GOKU -DAIMA-”, while Bandai Namco names a playable character in Dragon Ball FighterZ as “Son Goku (Super Saiyan 4・DAIMA).” These are clear official uses of the SSJ4 name for Daima Goku, not merely a fan nickname.
The distinction matters because Dragon Ball Daima is an original anime, not a GT retelling. Toei Animation’s July 2024 announcement credits Akira Toriyama with the original work, story and character designs, and names Yoshitaka Yashima and Aya Komaki as series directors, Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru for animation character design, and Yuko Kakihara for series composition and scenario. Those credits establish the series’ creative context, but do not identify who individually originated this particular transformation design. Toei Animation’s announcement also framed the show as part of Dragon Ball’s 40th-anniversary year.
Why the reveal resonates with longtime fans
SSJ4 carries a distinctive visual identity in the franchise: the name immediately calls up a form many viewers associate with GT. Daima using that name for Goku creates an unmistakable point of recognition, while the “-DAIMA-” label marks this rendition as belonging to the newer series. The appeal is not that the two versions must be interchangeable; it is that Daima can evoke a familiar transformation and make it part of its own official world.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
That is a satisfying fan-facing development without requiring a verdict on every continuity debate. It gives viewers something recognizable to respond to, and gives collectors and players a Daima-specific version to seek out. Whether someone prefers the GT look, the Daima design, or both is a matter of taste rather than an objective ranking.
Does Daima make SSJ4 canon, or connect GT to Daima?
The strongest careful answer is that SSJ4 is officially associated with Daima Goku in Daima-branded material. That supports calling it an official Daima form. It does not settle the broader question of how Daima relates to GT, nor does it establish that both series’ SSJ4 forms are identical in design, mechanics, or continuity.

A licensed figure or game character confirms the official name and branding, but it is not a continuity ruling. The official materials cited here do not explain the transformation’s trigger, mechanics, or episode-by-episode story context. Claims about those details, or about GT being made canon by the reveal, need evidence beyond the product and game listings.

Is there a Daima SSJ4 Goku figure?
Yes. Two official physical collectibles have been listed, but they are different formats and their availability depends on region and stock.
| Figure | Format and details | Availability information |
|---|---|---|
| S.H.Figuarts SUPER SAIYAN 4 SON GOKU -DAIMA- | Articulated S.H.Figuarts figure. The Dragon Ball Official Site describes articulation, a Kamehameha effect and interchangeable parts. Target age: 15+. | Tamashii Web lists a Japan preorder period of April 10–May 31, 2026, and a December 2026 release. Its page says information is for Japan and directs customers to check their own sales area; confirm local availability and current stock. |
| DAIMA Super Saiyan 4 Goku prize figure | A separate prize-figure release, rather than the articulated S.H.Figuarts format. | Bandai Spirits lists a Japan appearance date of July 29, 2025, and warns that older products may no longer be in production or on sale. Check local listings for current stock. |
The Japan dates are not a promise of availability elsewhere. For a digital option, Bandai Namco says FighterZ’s DAIMA pack includes playable Son Goku (Super Saiyan 4・DAIMA) and is available through each platform’s online store; that is game content, not a physical collectible. See the official pack notice.
