Not as a documented, unattended 24/7 prerecorded-video workflow. Dacast documents sending an encoder-based live channel to YouTube through Simulcast, and separately offers browser-based Go Live without installed software. But its published materials do not establish that browser Go Live can run unattended around the clock or that Dacast VOD Rebroadcast can feed YouTube through Simulcast.
What Dacast documents
Dacast describes two relevant ways to broadcast, but neither documentation path confirms the exact combination in the question: a continuous YouTube stream made from prerecorded video, without OBS or another active source.
Simulcast: an encoder-based live feed sent to YouTube
Dacast says Simulcast supports YouTube, other named social platforms, and custom RTMP destinations. Its documented setup starts with a Dacast live channel receiving an encoder feed. You add YouTube as a destination, then start the broadcast. Dacast lists OBS, Wirecast, vMix, and compatible RTMP encoders as options.
Dacast says its service distributes the incoming feed to the selected destinations, so Simulcast does not require extra broadcaster upload bandwidth for each destination. That describes distribution of an existing live feed; it does not establish that Dacast creates an unattended loop from uploaded recordings.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Browser Go Live: no installed encoder, but a camera-based workflow
Dacast also advertises browser-based Go Live without an encoder or installed software. Its description is a camera-based broadcast: turn on a camera in the browser to go live. The available description does not say this can operate unattended 24/7, continue without an active browser source, or play a prerecorded loop to YouTube.
Why the prerecorded 24/7 case remains unconfirmed
Dacast’s developer documentation distinguishes encoder ingest from VOD Rebroadcast. It describes Simulcast as restreaming an encoder live channel to YouTube, Twitch, or another RTMP ingest, and excludes VOD Rebroadcast from that documented Simulcast route. This establishes a boundary in the documented workflow; it does not prove that no other integration exists. The materials reviewed do not confirm that uploaded VOD can be rebroadcast continuously to YouTube through Simulcast.

So the precise answer is: Dacast documents YouTube distribution for an encoder-fed live channel and offers a separate no-installed-software browser broadcast. Its published information does not confirm a no-OBS, unattended, prerecorded 24/7 YouTube stream. If that exact workflow is essential, ask Dacast support to confirm whether it is currently supported before choosing a plan or building around it.
What to do if you use Dacast’s documented live Simulcast path
- Create a Dacast live channel. This is the receiving channel for an encoder’s live feed.
- Connect an encoder. Configure OBS, Wirecast, vMix, or another compatible RTMP encoder to send the live feed to the Dacast channel.
- Add YouTube as a destination. In Dacast, open the channel’s Engagement tab and add YouTube under Simulcast destinations.
- Start the broadcast. Start the encoder feed and the live broadcast to send the channel to the selected destinations.
This is a documented live-encoder setup, not confirmation of a 24/7 prerecorded-video loop. Dacast’s browser Go Live option is a separate camera-based route; do not assume it substitutes for an unattended video source.
