No confirmed reveal shows that Avengers: Doomsday adapts Planet Hulk. The “Planet Hulk” comparison comes from March 2025 reports about purported leaked concept art depicting Hulk among similar figures. Those reports did not authenticate the images or establish that Marvel Studios made them for the film.
What the “Planet Hulk” images refer to
Reports published on March 1, 2025 described an image of Hulk in a village-like setting among figures resembling him. Some viewers and coverage compared the scene to Planet Hulk, the comics storyline. That comparison is an interpretation of the reported image, not evidence of a confirmed story direction. Municipios Puebla reported the speculation and noted that some viewers questioned whether the images might be AI-generated; Estadio Deportes likewise described the material as alleged.
Are the images official Avengers: Doomsday concept art?
The cited March 2025 coverage did not establish that Marvel Studios created the images for Avengers: Doomsday. Estadio Deportes said Marvel Studios had not confirmed their authenticity. Den of Geek later reported director Joe Russo’s response to the alleged concept art: “That’s not our concept art.” The quote is attributed to Russo as reproduced by Den of Geek; the available account does not independently verify it against a primary interview transcript or recording.
The careful description is therefore “purported leaked concept art.” The images circulated and prompted speculation, but the available reporting does not verify their origin or connect them to the film’s production.

How the 2026 ensemble illustration differs
In July 2026, former Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development Andy Park shared an ensemble illustration for Avengers: Doomsday. TechRadar reported that Park described it as the final full film he had led in that role and said it revealed the characters and their looks for the first time. This is separate from the March 2025 alleged Hulk-village images: the report does not connect Park’s illustration to the Planet Hulk comparison or use it to authenticate the earlier material.
