Kent’s career connected the role of the club and touring DJ with record production: he first gained recognition behind Dana Dane, then contributed to recordings by artists whose work reached far beyond New York’s hip-hop scene. His credits across the Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Junior M.A.F.I.A., Rakim, and Mariah Carey reflect that range.
