Wendy’s announced its collaboration with Paramount on October 2, 2024, and said the items would arrive October 8 at participating restaurants and in the Wendy’s app. The launch was part of the 25th-anniversary celebration of SpongeBob SquarePants. Nickelodeon and Paramount described Wendy’s availability as lasting through early November 2024, without giving an exact final day. Wendy’s announcement and the partner announcement establish the launch and its planned window, not that the items are available now.

Wendy’s called its burger the Krabby Patty Kollab Burger and described it as its own take on the fictional sandwich. It had a quarter pound of fresh, never frozen beef, two slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, Krabby Kollab sauce and a toasted premium bun. Wendy’s did not disclose the sauce recipe, and the promotion did not reveal the fictional Krusty Krab formula either. The same promotion included the Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty: a vanilla Frosty with a pineapple-mango flavored puree swirl. Wendy’s announcement said the items were offered at participating restaurants and through its app. Its fresh-beef qualification applied to the contiguous United States, Alaska and Canada; that statement is narrower than the announced item availability, which also included Guam.

Was Wendy’s the only place to get a Krabby Patty?
No. Wendy’s was the collaboration’s exclusive national quick-service restaurant brand, but the wider Krabby Patty Kollab also involved more than 100 interpretations at more than 250 local restaurants. The partner announcement named participating cities in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Mexico, including New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, San Francisco, Seattle, Miami, Las Vegas, Toronto, London and Mexico City. That broader restaurant program was scheduled through October 27, 2024, earlier than Wendy’s announced early-November window. The partner release describes these as imaginative interpretations, not a single standardized recipe.
Did the Wendy’s promotion return?
The announcements reviewed establish the 2024 limited-time launch, but do not confirm a subsequent return or current availability. A historical Wendy’s nutrition sheet lists a “Krabby Patty Single” and related versions, but that document records promotion-era information and is not evidence that the items remain on sale. Paramount Advertising’s retrospective attributed its campaign results to Paramount Audience Impact & Intelligence and ABCS Research, Q4 2024. These are campaign-reported figures from a Paramount-authored retrospective, not independent findings: it reported a 7% lift in restaurant visits and a 4% lift in overall sales, alongside 111 million views. It also reported 125 creators, a social footprint of 452 million, 3.5 million engagements and 903 posts across platforms. Paramount further said nearly 50% of limited-time-offer product sales were influenced by SpongeBob fandom or nostalgia, and 81% of the A18–24 audience said the campaign made them more likely to consider Wendy’s.
