What is the sequel called now?
The current title is The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth. TheWrap reported the title change on August 26, 2026. In the official synopsis reported by TheWrap, talent agent Karen Crosby (Elizabeth Debicki) approaches Cliff on behalf of her client, TV star Charlie Peters (Scott Caan). The other named characters include Toni (Carla Gugino), football champion turned screen star Roderick “Hot Rod” Harrison (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), and the Verdusco brothers (Matt Groove and JB Tadena). The synopsis describes the film as “a crime story” and “a cocktail of violence, ambition, and desire” set in Los Angeles; that is promotional copy, not an independently established description of the plot.
