Yes. Stone Cold Steve Austin appeared at WrestleMania 41 and made an entrance, according to WWE’s official Sunday highlights. That confirms an appearance—not an in-ring match. Before the event, a report discussed the possibility of Austin appearing, but it was not an official match announcement.
What happened at WrestleMania 41?
WWE’s official WrestleMania 41 Sunday highlights, published April 20, 2025, identify Austin’s return appearance and show him making an entrance. The video supports describing it as an appearance; it does not establish that he wrestled a match at the event.
Why was a return being discussed before the event?
On March 6, 2025, Sports Illustrated reported on Austin discussing a possible WrestleMania 41 appearance. That was pre-event reporting about a possibility, not confirmation of a WWE booking. WWE’s later highlight provides the official evidence that he appeared.
What does “return” mean in Austin’s case?
The word can refer to different things: an appearance at the event or a return to in-ring competition. WWE’s profile of Austin says he retired from in-ring competition at WrestleMania XIX. WWE described his WrestleMania 38 appearance in 2022 as an in-ring return in its WrestleMania 38 video. For WrestleMania 41, the official highlight confirms an appearance and entrance, not a match.
