Joe Jonas, by contrast, publicly said in 2022 that he started using Xeomin after noticing frown lines.
Did Sophie Turner get buccal fat removal?
Turner’s account explains where the speculation came from; it does not confirm the procedure. In a May 2024 British Vogue interview, she said her face tended to bloat when she was bulimic. After her bulimia improved in her early 20s, she said, her face returned to normal. She recounted that comments then focused on whether she had had buccal fat removal.
Turner described the online reaction this way: “Then, suddenly, all the comments were about whether I’d had buccal fat removal or not. So yeah, you can never win.” The remark was about appearance commentary, not an admission that she had the surgery. Good Morning America also reported her explanation of facial bloating during bulimia and the speculation that followed her recovery.
Has Joe Jonas used injectables?
Yes. In an Allure interview published in August 2022, Jonas said he started Xeomin after noticing more frown lines. He described the choice as giving him a confidence boost. Xeomin is the specific injectable he disclosed using; that statement does not establish his use of other treatments or whether he still uses it.

Jonas also said, “We can be open and honest about it and be confident and not really shy away from speaking our truth.” The disclosure came in an interview about his anti-aging routine and partnership with Xeomin, as The Independent reported. That context is relevant to how the statement was made, but it does not negate what Jonas said about his use.
What the two statements establish
- Sophie Turner: She described a change in her face after her bulimia improved and said it prompted speculation. The cited interview does not establish that she had buccal fat removal.
- Joe Jonas: He said he started Xeomin after noticing frown lines in an interview published in August 2022. That is a disclosure about a named treatment at that time, not a complete or current treatment history.
Neither appearance changes in photographs nor online commentary can establish a person’s cosmetic-treatment history. Here, the distinction is between Turner discussing a rumor and Jonas directly naming an injectable he said he used.
