No verified source in the available coverage establishes that Nicole Kidman directly responded to the combined claim that she had lost too much weight and was overworked. She has spoken about overgiving and self-care, while other interviews address career pressures and online criticism; none confirms the exact response implied by the original headline.
What did Kidman say about overgiving?
In a May 22, 2025 interview with Allure, Kidman described “overgiving” as a vice and said, “overgiving is bad for your health.” That is a comment about her view of self-care. It is not a direct statement that she is overworked, nor a response to a claim about her weight.

Where did the weight-loss response claim come from?
A 2024 Geo News report connected concern about Kidman’s appearance to her appearance at the CMA Awards and attributed to her a remark from Vogue Australia: “I don’t want to be a role model for anyone, I’m not interested in that.” The report does not establish that this was a direct reply to a specific accusation about weight loss. It also does not establish a medical fact, a cause of any change in appearance, or a confirmed health concern.
Do her other interviews answer the allegation?
No. In a February 20, 2025 TIME interview, Kidman discussed her career and periods of criticism, bullying, loss, and grief. That provides context about her public and professional life, but it is not a direct response to the combined weight-loss and overwork claim.
#1 Best Overall
- Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman
A November 2025 Vogue cover story addressed her work and public scrutiny. Kidman advised people dealing with online judgment to walk away from it. This is general advice about dealing with criticism, not a rebuttal or confirmation of a particular allegation about her appearance or workload.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What can be concluded?
The documented remarks are adjacent to the topic, not a verified response to the exact accusation. Kidman has spoken about overgiving, career pressure, and online judgment; the cited coverage does not establish that she confirmed being overworked or addressed a claim that she had lost too much weight. Public speculation about appearance should not be treated as evidence about someone’s health.
