What happened between Nick and Hannah at the reunion?
The reunion, released October 30, 2024, revisited Hannah and Nick’s relationship after their breakup. Hannah raised a notebook she said she found at Nick’s apartment, then alleged he had called her a “grenade” after seeing her. The notebook concerned Nick’s goals and intentions; it was a separate discussion and does not establish what he may have said about Hannah’s appearance. Netflix Tudum’s recap recounts the exchange.
Hannah also acknowledged her own conduct in the relationship. As quoted in the Netflix recap, she said: “I’m very to the point and very direct. That’s just who I am,” she tells the Lacheys about her polarizing communication style. “I think I’m telling you exactly what [I’m thinking], but really I’m just [acting] like a bitch. The things that I said were all true, but it’s just the way you say it.”
Did Nick call Hannah a grenade?
Hannah said he did; Nick denied it. Netflix’s recap says Stephen and Ramses confirmed that Nick had made similar derogatory comments. Forbes’ account specifies that Stephen said Nick discussed the grenade remark with him, but did not tell him about the separate alleged rating scale. E!’s reunion coverage also reports Stephen’s brief affirmation.

That reported corroboration is evidence of what Stephen said on camera, not independent proof of the original private exchange. The available accounts do not establish the exact wording, context, or intended meaning of the alleged remark, so the fairest description is that Hannah made the allegation, Nick denied it, and Stephen reportedly said Nick had discussed it with him.
How did Hannah say she learned about the remarks?
Hannah later told Us Weekly that Marissa had told her about both the grenade remark and the alleged rating. That is Hannah’s account of how she heard the claims; it does not independently verify what Nick said.

The alleged rating is distinct from the grenade allegation. Forbes reported Stephen’s confirmation of the grenade discussion, while noting that Nick had not told Stephen about the alleged rating scale. The two claims should not be treated as if they had the same reported corroboration.
Nick also denied calling Hannah a grenade in a later statement reported by Us Weekly on November 7, 2024.
