Mark Wahlberg’s unusual look in Flight Risk was reportedly created by shaving the top of his head—not by wearing a bald cap. A January 2025 newspaper Q&A says he kept the sides and shaved the top daily for the role. The film is a Mel Gibson-directed thriller, but the available evidence does not establish that it is currently a streaming hit or included with a subscription service.
Did Mark Wahlberg really shave his head for Flight Risk?
According to a January 30, 2025 Q&A published by the North Channel Star, Wahlberg shaved the top of his head for the role and maintained the look with daily shavings, leaving hair at the sides. That is secondary reporting; Lionsgate confirms Wahlberg’s role but does not describe how the hairstyle was created.

The look belongs to Flight Risk, in which Wahlberg plays a pilot. The official Lionsgate film page describes the pilot transporting an Air Marshal, played by Michelle Dockery, and a fugitive, played by Topher Grace, across the Alaskan wilderness. Mel Gibson directed the thriller, written by Jared Rosenberg.
Is Flight Risk a streaming hit?
That claim needs qualification: the available official materials do not establish a current streaming-chart position, audience figure, or subscription-streaming availability. Lionsgate’s fiscal 2025 filing discusses the company’s distribution across transactional, subscription, and ad-supported video-on-demand services, but does not identify a current service or chart ranking for this film. A past digital release is not proof that it is now included in a subscription.

Where can you watch Flight Risk?
Lionsgate’s UK-language film page labels the title “Watch at Home” and links to a home-viewing destination. That page is territory-specific and does not guarantee access elsewhere. A February 11, 2025 report reproducing Lionsgate’s announcement said the film became available to rent or buy digitally on February 14, 2025, including through Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play, and Fandango at Home. These are historical release details, not confirmation that each storefront still offers it.
Check the listing in your country before renting or buying, and confirm whether the title is included with a subscription or requires a separate transaction. Availability can vary by territory and change over time.
