A Charlotte Observer setlist report does not list the song among his performances, but that omission does not establish a refusal or explain why the song was absent.
What is verified about “Hurricane” and the show?
The Charlotte Observer’s reported setlist names songs Combs performed at Concert for Carolina but leaves out “Hurricane.” That is evidence only of what the report lists—not proof that Combs made the statement attributed in the headline, or that he chose not to sing the song for any particular reason. No attributable statement from Combs confirming the claimed refusal has been located.
