Hannah Jiles said she knew money mattered to Leo Braudy, but she did not feel he was constantly flaunting his wealth while they dated in the Love Is Blind pods. In a PEOPLE interview republished by Yahoo Entertainment on October 2, 2024, she explained that the pod setting kept her from seeing his Rolex, suits, or the way he carried himself in person. That was her impression—not an independent count of how often he discussed money.
Did Leo keep flaunting his money and art dealer job to Hannah?
Not in the way Hannah said it seemed to viewers. “Maybe I was wearing rose-colored glasses or something, but for me, I knew money was a thing, but I didn’t think it was as big [of a deal],” she told PEOPLE. Her account describes what she perceived while dating Leo in the pods; it does not establish how often he brought up his job or finances.
Hannah also pointed to what the experiment concealed: “And again, you have to remember, I’m not seeing him in his Rolex and his suits and how he carries himself.” Without those visual cues, she said, she did not experience the money angle as prominently as viewers watching the edited episodes might have.
Yahoo Entertainment’s October 2, 2024 report, republishing PEOPLE’s interview, places the conversation in the Season 7 pods, where Hannah was also pursuing Nick Dorka and Leo was connecting with Brittany Wisniewski.

Why did Leo say his work mattered?
In a separate PEOPLE interview published October 2, Leo described his art-dealer work as part of his family’s business. He said he discussed it because he wanted to be authentic about who he was, and because continuing the family business was something he was proud of and a potential spouse would be part of that area of his life.
That is Leo’s explanation for bringing up his work, not proof of how Hannah experienced those conversations. The available interviews give each participant’s perspective, but do not independently establish the frequency or tone of the money talk. For a general description of what art dealers do, the interviews alone are not enough to define the profession.

What happened when Hannah chose Nick?
Hannah said Leo’s response to her decision caught her off guard. “I think how someone handles difficult rejection, it really shows a lot about them,” she told PEOPLE. She also said she would have chosen Nick even if Leo had handled the rejection more cordially, so her account separates her choice of partner from her reaction to Leo’s response.
In a PEOPLE interview published October 3, Leo acknowledged his reaction: “I definitely lost my cool,” adding that he wished he had handled the moment “with maybe a bit more grace.”

Where the couples stood in the episodes covered
The October 2 report discussed the first six episodes of Season 7. At that point in the show’s timeline, Hannah and Nick were engaged and heading to Mexico. Leo and Brittany were also engaged, but producers did not select them to join the couples continuing to Mexico; they traveled to Miami instead and ended their engagement weeks later, according to the report. This is the publication-time account, not a current relationship update.
