There is no verified evidence that Justin Bieber cancelled a second world tour or personally lost millions because of one. The documented cancellation was the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour in February 2023. A 2025 report later alleged he owed promoter AEG about $20 million, but the figure came from unnamed sources and Bieber’s representatives disputed the account.
What was cancelled—and when?
September 2022: a touring break, not the final cancellation
On September 7, 2022, AEGX’s Japan tour site said Bieber had decided to take a break from touring. The notice said the Asia leg was then expected to continue as scheduled; it did not announce that every remaining date had been cancelled. AEGX’s notice

February 2023: all remaining Justice World Tour dates
On February 28, 2023, AEG Presents/AEGX announced that all remaining Justice World Tour dates were cancelled. The Japan notice directed ticket buyers to refund procedures that varied by seller and purchaser type. Those were historical, Japan-specific instructions—not universal or current refund guidance. ITV reported that the cancellation followed earlier postponements during Bieber’s recovery from Ramsay Hunt syndrome. That context does not establish the financial consequences of the cancellation. ITV News, March 1, 2023

Where did the “millions” claim come from?
In April 2025, Us Weekly summarized a Hollywood Reporter story citing unnamed insiders who estimated that Bieber owed AEG about $20 million after receiving a reported $40 million advance. These are reported allegations, not independently verified financial accounts. Bieber’s representatives told The Hollywood Reporter that claims of financial distress “bear no resemblance to reality”; a further response, reported by Us Weekly, called the story based on unnamed and ill-informed sources and said its assumptions were inaccurate. Us Weekly, April 16, 2025
The categories matter: an advance is not automatically a loss, an alleged debt is not the same as a cancellation-loss calculation, and neither establishes Bieber’s personal net loss. The cited reporting does not provide audited accounts or a direct promoter accounting that resolves the dispute.

Why the $55 million figure does not prove a personal loss
ITV reported that the Justice World Tour had generated more than $55 million (£46 million) in revenue over the previous year. That is reported tour revenue—not profit, Bieber’s personal earnings, the alleged amount owed to AEG, or a calculation of losses caused by cancelling dates. ITV News, March 1, 2023

No. FIFA announced on July 8, 2026 that Bieber would co-headline the World Cup final halftime show on July 19, 2026. That announcement concerns a scheduled performance; it does not establish a new world tour, show that one was cancelled, or verify the disputed AEG debt allegation. FIFA, July 8, 2026

What can be stated with confidence?
- The Justice World Tour’s remaining dates were cancelled in February 2023.
- The September 2022 notice described a break and said the Asia leg was then expected to go ahead; it was not the final all-dates cancellation notice.
- The reported $20 million debt estimate came from unnamed sources and was disputed by Bieber’s representatives.
- The reported $55 million figure refers to tour revenue, not personal earnings or verified cancellation losses.
- The available evidence does not substantiate the headline’s claim that Bieber cancelled a second world tour and lost millions as a result.
