In “Ants on a Log and a Cheating Winker,” Sheldon returns home, knocks once on his parents’ bedroom door, then opens it. He sees George with a blonde-haired figure and assumes the person is another woman. The reveal is that the figure is Mary, dressed as a German woman for a role-play surprise for George. The Prime Video Season 7 listing describes Mary as having a surprise for George; the listing does not establish streaming availability in every territory.

How does the scene explain Sheldon’s three knocks?
The prequel supplies a concrete childhood event behind the adult Sheldon’s story: he really did walk in on his father in the bedroom. What changes is the meaning of the memory for the audience. Sheldon saw a scene that looked like George was with another woman, but he did not recognize his mother in costume. That misunderstanding offers an origin for the three-knock ritual without confirming that George was unfaithful.
What does this change about The Big Bang Theory?
The reveal reframes one specific piece of The Big Bang Theory continuity. The old anecdote led viewers to expect that Sheldon had caught George with an affair partner; Young Sheldon instead shows the event that could have shaped that belief, while making clear that the apparent other woman was Mary. Sheldon’s memory and habit remain part of his character, but the audience now has a different explanation for what he saw.

No. The Brenda storyline created suspicion and tension, but the bedroom reveal does not show George having a physical affair with Brenda. In this scene, the person Sheldon mistakes for another woman is Mary. The episode reinterprets the apparent source of the cheating story; it does not establish that every detail Sheldon later recalls is reliable or reconcile every timeline and characterization difference between the shows.
