Those are distinct claims: the outlet described video of an argument, while the alleged later physical confrontation and apparent injury were attributed to people cited by TMZ. The report did not independently establish that a fight or injury occurred. TMZ said it had not heard of a related police call and that Brown, Usher and Teyana Taylor had not confirmed or denied the initial report at that point.
What happened the next night
TMZ reported on May 7 that Brown and Usher both performed at the Lovers & Friends festival. Their appearances are relevant aftermath context, but they do not verify or disprove the alleged altercation.

What their later relationship does—and does not—show
In a June 2026 Associated Press report about a planned joint stadium tour, Usher referred to Brown as “my brother.” That later professional collaboration offers context about their relationship, but it does not settle what happened at the Las Vegas gathering in May 2023.
