The official Devil May Cry Season 2 trailer is out, but the season is no longer upcoming: Netflix’s listed premiere date, May 12, 2026, has passed. The trailer previews a conflict between Dante and his estranged twin brother Vergil. Netflix has also confirmed a third and final season, without announcing its release date in the source reviewed here.
Which Devil May Cry trailer is this?
Capcom Town identifies the video as “Devil May Cry: Season 2 | Official Trailer | Netflix.” Netflix’s title page lists that trailer at 1 minute 28 seconds, separate from a 4-minute 6-second music spot. They are different videos, so the longer music feature should not be mistaken for the season trailer. Capcom Town’s official trailer listing and Netflix’s title page identify the assets.

What does the trailer set up?
Netflix Tudum describes Season 2 as a war between worlds, with Dante facing his estranged twin brother Vergil. The family conflict places the brothers at the center of a larger supernatural struggle. The series adapts Capcom’s video-game franchise; Netflix Media Center credits Adi Shankar as its lead and Studio Mir with the animation. Netflix Tudum’s June 4, 2026 article covers the season’s story, and the Netflix Media Center identifies the adaptation and production credits.
