The overall listing and dedicated PS4 page show different review counts—104 and 117, respectively—and the available Metacritic pages do not explain the discrepancy. Each figure should be understood within the scope of the page that displays it rather than combined or reconciled. The two-point gap between the PS4 and PC scores does not establish that one version is better: the review samples differ in size and composition, and the scores are not the result of a controlled platform comparison.

Reviews on the PS4 page highlight the game’s story, characters, choices, moral dilemmas, and audio. A Post Arcade review published May 24, 2018, described it as “a work that examines the concept of machine intelligence with nearly as much insight and sympathy as Isaac Asimov’s finest novels about robots.” A PlaySense excerpt also praises the characters, choices, moral dilemmas, and audio. These are examples of favorable individual responses, not a count of how many critics agreed. The excerpts appear on Metacritic’s PS4 critic-review page.
What concerns appeared in PC reviews?
Excerpts on the PC page praise the mature story and visuals, while some also raise frame-rate or PC-optimization concerns. Those comments describe issues raised by some reviewers; they do not show that all PC critics encountered them or establish the state of the current PC build. Metacritic’s PC page lists 80/100 from 14 critic reviews in the retrieved snapshot. The relatively small sample is important context when interpreting that score. When and where was the game released?
Metacritic lists May 25, 2018, as the game’s release date. The official PlayStation game page identifies it as a PlayStation title developed by Quantic Dream. Quantic Dream announced a PC release through the Epic Games Store for December 12, 2019, and its launch announcement described visual and user-interface enhancements. These are historical release details, not a statement about current store availability or the present state of the game. The PC review cohort therefore belongs to a later platform-release context than the original 2018 PS4 reviews.

The PlayStation Store’s Digital Deluxe Edition listing describes a digital art book and a digital deluxe soundtrack upgrade; these are digital extras, not physical items. Quantic Dream also announced a PC Collector’s Edition with collectibles, but that historical announcement does not establish current stock or price. The cited critic scores concern reviews of the game on their respective platform pages, not a separate score for these edition extras.
