Detective Forst stars Borys Szyc as suspended detective Wiktor Forst and Zuzanna Saporznikow as journalist Olga Szrebska, who joins him to investigate a series of brutal murders. Netflix lists the Polish thriller as a six-episode 2024 series. Here are the confirmed actor-character matches, with only brief, spoiler-conscious context.
Who plays Wiktor Forst and Olga Szrebska?
- Borys Szyc as Wiktor Forst: Forst is the detective at the center of the investigation. Netflix describes him as maverick; his approach gets him suspended, after which he pursues the case outside official channels.
- Zuzanna Saporznikow as Olga Szrebska: Olga is a journalist who teams up with Forst to investigate the murders.
Those roles anchor the series’ premise: a detective and a journalist pursuing a brutal-murder case after Forst’s suspension. Netflix’s series listing gives the official synopsis and episode descriptions.
Who plays Edmund Osica?
Andrzej Bienias plays Edmund Osica, an inspector. Netflix’s first-episode description places Forst in a tense situation with an inspector; the short synopsis does not establish more about Osica’s relationship to the other characters.
Who are the other credited cast members?
| Actor | Character | What the available credits establish |
|---|---|---|
| Kamilla Baar | Dominika Wadryś-Hansen | Credited role; no further character relationship is established by the cited cast listings. |
| Szymon Wróblewski | Staszek Kowalik | Credited role. Netflix’s fourth-episode synopsis says Olga uncovers Staszek’s secret but does not explain it. |
| Piotr Franasowicz | Karol Adamiak | Credited role. |
| Aleksandra Grabowska | Agata Osica | Role listed in cast databases. |
| Maciej Pesta | Gjord Hansen | Credited role. |
| Artur Barciś | Jarosław Rozwadowski | Credited role. |
The credits also name Michał Suwada and Tomasz Pogoń, but the surfaced Netflix listing does not pair those names with characters. The actor-role matches above are supported by IMDb’s full credits and, for selected roles, Rotten Tomatoes’ cast and crew listing.

What is Detective Forst about, without major spoilers?
Netflix’s official synopsis describes a detective suspended for his unorthodox investigative approach who teams with a journalist to solve a series of brutal murders. Its brief episode descriptions mention a grisly mountaintop murder, the possibility of another death, an investigation reaching powerful people, the Beast of Giewont, and a later kidnapping involving someone close to an inspector. These are promotional summaries, not a complete account of the plot.

The series is credited as based on Remigiusz Mróz’s novels Ekspozycja and Przewieszenie, as listed in the series’ IMDb credits. That credit identifies the source novels; it does not, on its own, establish how closely the television adaptation follows either book or what changes it makes.
