What will the story be about?
The official synopsis places the film nearly two decades after Paul Atreides took control of the Imperium. Paul is now a ruthless Emperor dealing with the consequences of his rule. The story brings back allies, introduces new threats, and centers on betrayal and a conspiracy involving Chani.
That setup follows the broad conflict of Dune Messiah: Paul’s victory has not ended the danger surrounding him, and political power has created consequences inside and outside the Atreides empire. The film’s published synopsis does not disclose the full plot or explain how closely every event will track Herbert’s novel.
