Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc episode 5, “I Even Ate Demons,” originally premiered on Sunday, June 9, 2024. The episode has already been released. Streaming services may show a different local date, and the official sources do not confirm one exact release time that applies worldwide.
When did episode 5 come out?
The episode’s original weekly release date was Sunday, June 9, 2024. The official English series announcement said the arc would begin Sunday, May 12, 2024, with Crunchyroll simulcasting new episodes weekly wherever the service was available: official series announcement.
That is the general schedule answer, not a guarantee that every streaming listing displayed June 9. Platform dates can reflect regional availability or local date conventions. For example, Prime Video listings surfaced June 8 and June 9 for episode 5 in different regional listings (Prime Video listing; Prime Video listing), while Crunchyroll’s listing displayed July 7 (Crunchyroll series listing). Those platform-specific dates should not be treated as a single global premiere date.
What time did it release?
The official announcement specifies a weekly simulcast but does not give a universal clock time for episode 5. The official episode page identifies the installment and its synopsis without establishing a release time: official episode 5 page. A precise time therefore depends on the relevant service and territory; the available official schedule does not support stating one time worldwide.

What is episode 5 called, and what happens?
The official title is “I Even Ate Demons.” Its synopsis says Tanjiro finishes Mitsuri’s training and goes to train with Iguro, who is waiting for him at the training site, visibly angry. The episode centers on whether Tanjiro can complete the difficult training and improve his sword skills.

Crunchyroll was the service named in the original official announcement for weekly simulcasts, in territories where it was available. Because this is a past release, check the current catalog for your region before relying on an old listing; streaming availability can change.
