When was Season 2 first announced?

Why the food matters as much as the fantasy
Delicious in Dungeon is not a conventional dungeon-crawling adventure with cooking added as a recurring joke. Its premise follows Laios and his party as they try to rescue a lost companion while surviving by preparing and eating monsters found inside the dungeon.
Yen Press describes the first volume as a blend of dungeon adventure, fantasy comedy, and monster cooking. The official anime site reinforces that structure with monster information and fictional recipes. Food is a survival system, a source of humor, and one of the ways the series explains its dungeon ecology.
That combination is also why the Falin storyline carries unusual weight. The characters’ practical knowledge of monsters and dungeon resources is part of how they survive, while the sequel’s teaser places them against a transformed figure whose fate is far more serious than the series’ early culinary experiments might suggest.
