Rock the Tides was announced in April 2025 as a three-day destination festival headlined by Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe. It was scheduled for November 7–9, 2025, at Barceló Riviera Maya in Mexico; those dates have passed. JamBase now lists the festival as canceled, although no official organizer cancellation or refund announcement was identified.
What Rock the Tides was announced to be
Mötley Crüe’s official announcement, dated April 17, 2025, introduced “Rock the Tides” with Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe as headliners. The event was scheduled for November 7, 8, and 9, 2025, at Barceló Riviera Maya in Riviera Maya, Mexico. The festival’s experience page also described a three-day event with supporting acts.
The announcement presented Rock the Tides as a resort-based destination package rather than a conventional standalone concert ticket. Mötley Crüe’s announcement listed a resort room, unlimited food and drink including alcohol, round-trip airport transportation, and resort amenities as package features. These are the inclusions advertised for the 2025 event, not confirmed terms for any current or future offering. (Official announcement)
Who was on the announced lineup?

Supporting acts
JamBase’s listing names Bret Michaels, Extreme, The Struts, Buckcherry, Dorothy, Living Colour, Moon Walker, and Velvet Daydream as part of the announced roster alongside the headliners. Treat this as a secondary database’s lineup record: the festival’s accessible experience page used the general phrase “massive support lineup,” while its official lineup result surfaced a poster rather than a readable text roster. Neither source establishes that the listed artists appeared onstage. (JamBase listing; festival lineup page)
Was Rock the Tides canceled?
The strongest available status evidence points to cancellation, but it is not an official organizer confirmation. On June 25, 2025, Def Leppard UK reported that Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe had removed the date from their schedules. The report marked the event “CANCELLED(?)” and noted that some supporting artists had also removed it while others still listed it. (Def Leppard UK report)

JamBase currently labels Rock the Tides “CANCELED.” No official organizer notice confirming the cancellation, explaining what happened, or confirming refunds was identified. Accordingly, the careful answer is that secondary sources report or list the festival as canceled; the available evidence does not verify an official cancellation statement or buyer refund outcome. The historical festival information page described package purchase, check-in, identification, shuttle, and refund terms. Because those dates have passed and the page is not established as current, those details should not be treated as actionable booking or refund instructions. Anyone who bought a package should rely on their booking documents and contact the seller or organizer directly for account-specific status; the available sources do not establish a general refund process or outcome. There is no basis in the available announcements to describe Rock the Tides as an upcoming festival, to recommend purchasing a package, or to state that any artist performed. The grounded record is an April 2025 announcement for a November 2025 event, followed by secondary reports and a database status indicating cancellation.
