The “crude and lewd” Deadpool & Wolverine popcorn bucket was a real 2024 cinema promotion, not a price announcement: Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige teased it at CinemaCon, and a later reveal showed a Wolverine-inspired design built around an oversized mouth. Theater chains also promoted different versions, so “the bucket” did not mean one universal design.
What did “crude and lewd” mean?
At CinemaCon in April 2024, Feige teased the promotion. ComicBook.com reported his words as: “Deadpool & Wolverine is getting a popcorn bucket which will be intentionally crude and lewd.” This was a reported event remark, not a retail listing or an announcement of the bucket’s price. ComicBook.com’s April 11, 2024 report recounts the tease.
What did the bucket look like?
The reveal that followed in late May showed a Wolverine-inspired popcorn container with an exaggerated open mouth. Ryan Reynolds and other film principals shared the collectible’s reveal, according to Popverse’s May 31, 2024 coverage. The mouth-centered design is the clearest explanation for Feige’s suggestive description; the phrase itself was a teaser, not a detailed product specification.
Were there multiple versions?
Yes. June 2024 coverage described theater-chain tie-in versions, meaning the designs and availability could differ by exhibitor. EpicFlix’s June 19, 2024 report said Cinemark’s version was announced for availability on July 23, 2024. That date applied to the reported Cinemark bucket, not every version. The available reporting does not provide a complete catalog or comparable prices for all chain variants.

When was it available, and can you buy one now?
The Cinemark date publicized in 2024 was July 23, three days before the film’s U.S. theatrical release on July 26, 2024, as reported by EpicFlix. Both dates are historical. Current stock, prices, and the authenticity of resale listings have not been established here, so the announcement does not show that a bucket is available today.
If searching a marketplace, use the phrase “Deadpool & Wolverine popcorn bucket” to look for the specific cinema collectible. Check the item photos, seller, licensing claims, stock, and live price; do not assume a listing is official just because it uses the film’s name. A different Wolverine-themed item may be unrelated merchandise rather than the theatrical bucket.

Why did the announcement attract attention?
The tease arrived amid attention around unusual movie-theater collectibles, especially AMC’s viral Dune: Part Two bucket. EpicFlix reported that Dune bucket at $24.99 in 2024; that figure belongs to the Dune item, not a verified price for Deadpool & Wolverine. The coverage places the two promotions in the same broader moment, but does not establish that one directly caused the other.
