Behaviour Interactive announced the Dead by Daylight: Castlevania chapter on August 6, 2024, but the official announcement reviewed here does not give a precise Public Test Build (PTB) date or chapter release date. The August 27 date often associated with Castlevania is for a separate in-game cosmetic collection, not the chapter launch.
When was the Castlevania chapter announced?
Behaviour Interactive published its chapter announcement on August 6, 2024. It introduced Dracula as a Killer and Trevor Belmont as the crossover Survivor, and described Dracula’s transformations and Trevor’s perks. The post does not state a specific PTB or chapter launch date. Read the official chapter announcement.
Was a Castlevania PTB date announced?
The official chapter announcement and chapter page reviewed here do not establish an exact Castlevania PTB date. A May 15, 2024 anniversary recap said Castlevania was coming later that summer, but its mention of a PTB “today” referred to the Dungeons & Dragons chapter, not Castlevania. See the anniversary recap.
Is August 27 the chapter release date?
No. August 27, 2024 is the date of Behaviour Interactive’s announcement for the Castlevania Collection in the in-game store. That post said additional outfits for Mikaela Reid and Kate Denson would arrive on September 12; those dates concern cosmetics, not a verified PTB or initial chapter release. See the Castlevania Collection announcement.
