DC and SEGA announced their Sonic the Hedgehog and Justice League crossover on September 24, 2024. It was a two-part collaboration: a five-issue comic series, first announced for March 2025, and a consumer-products collection that included a JAKKS Pacific toy line. Those dates have passed; the announcement is not a new 2026 reveal, and the available announcements do not confirm what is currently in stock.
What is the DC x Sonic crossover?
It is a licensed collaboration between DC’s Justice League and SEGA’s Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, announced by DC and SEGA of America on September 24, 2024. The comic was a five-issue DC Comics series written by Ian Flynn, with art by Adam Bryce Thomas and colors by Matt Herms. SEGA’s first-look announcement gave the first issue’s date as March 19, 2025; DC initially described a monthly run from March through July 2025.
The premise brings the teams together against Darkseid: he crosses dimensions to invade Sonic’s world in pursuit of ultimate power, prompting the Justice League to join Sonic and his friends to defend their worlds. DC’s original announcement and SEGA’s first look describe the series and its setup.

The collaboration’s character art and merchandise pair Sonic characters with Justice League roles. These are crossover identities, not permanent replacements for the DC heroes.

Comic editions
The original announcement described five monthly issues. DC also has an official collected-edition catalog entry. The catalog entry establishes that DC lists a collection, but it does not, by itself, confirm a current retailer listing, format details, price, or stock status. Check the listing directly before buying.
Toys and other merchandise
DC said Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products and SEGA would develop a global collection spanning apparel, toys, collectibles, and more, with a late-2025 release window announced at the time. Separately, JAKKS Pacific announced a licensed toy line on May 5, 2025, featuring articulated action figures, vehicles, and plush. Its announcement expected the toys to reach shelves and online retailers in Fall 2025; it does not establish current inventory or verify individual models.
