Director Kat Coiro said Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige originated the color idea and collaborated with costume designer Ann Foley on a look that paid homage to Daredevil’s comic-book origins.
What did Daredevil’s new suit look like?
The promo for episode eight of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law showed Daredevil in a red-and-yellow suit, as ComicBook.com described it. GameSpot called the palette red and gold. Those are the outlets’ descriptions of the same broad color scheme, not a precise production color specification.
The bright red-and-yellow/gold palette marked a departure from the predominantly red suit associated with Daredevil’s earlier MCU appearance. The available reporting describes the colors and their intended inspiration, but does not establish the suit’s materials, construction, or exact comic-panel reference.
Why is Daredevil wearing yellow in She-Hulk?
GameSpot characterized the colors as an homage to Daredevil’s comic-book origins. That describes a broad creative inspiration; it does not mean the screen costume exactly reproduces a particular comic design.

The connection makes the suit a visual nod to the character’s comic history while giving his appearance in She-Hulk a distinct palette. Readers interested in tracing that inspiration can explore Daredevil comics, though the reporting does not identify a specific issue as the costume’s source.
Who chose and designed the suit?
In an October 14, 2022 interview with GameSpot, director Kat Coiro credited Kevin Feige with the color idea, saying, “And the color of the costume was definitely 100% from him.” Coiro also said Feige collaborated with costume designer Ann Foley on the design and its homage to earlier versions of Daredevil.

They knew exactly what they wanted the suit to look like.” Her comment supports Marvel’s oversight of the look; it does not attribute the design to Gao.
