The report also said Masterson could not identify his monthly income without consulting his financial manager and reviewing records. TheWrap reported that listed assets included the ranch, farm, investments and three vehicles, while reported liabilities included legal bills, a mortgage and credit-card debt. These are details reported from a probation document—not an independently audited financial statement.

How That ’70s Show fits into the picture
Masterson played Steven Hyde on That ’70s Show, which ran from 1998 to 2006, according to the Associated Press. The series is central to his acting career, but the available financial reporting does not break out residuals by title or provide a payment schedule. Arrest, conviction and sentence
The financial report surfaced during sentencing proceedings after a Los Angeles jury convicted Masterson in 2023. Masterson was arrested and charged in 2020, after the Los Angeles Police Department investigation became public in 2017. CBS Los Angeles reported that he was taken into custody after the May 31, 2023 verdict. In November 2025, the Los Angeles Times reported that he filed a habeas petition alleging failures by his defense lawyers and law-enforcement bias.
