Neither Mason nor Liubinskas had publicly explained the cancellation in the contemporary coverage.
What was reported about the cancelled engagement?
PerthNow’s report, published on 26 September 2023, said Mason and Liubinskas had ended their engagement ahead of their planned October wedding. The outlet described the ceremony as roughly three weeks away. This is a report of the couple’s circumstances at that time, not a statement from either of them.
PerthNow’s initial report set out the cancellation; the outlet’s follow-up the next day addressed the lack of a public explanation.
What were the reported wedding plans?
In a 29 September 2023 follow-up, PerthNow reported that the wedding had been scheduled for 27 October 2023 at Greystone Estate in the Hunter Valley. The venue and date were reported plans, not details announced by the couple in the coverage cited here.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The same report said Liubinskas proposed in July 2021 and that the pair had been engaged for two years. It also relayed a claim about the ring being returned, attributing that detail to the Daily Mail and unnamed sources rather than to Mason or Liubinskas. Because that claim was second-hand and peripheral, it does not establish what either person said or did directly.
PerthNow’s follow-up on the wedding plans contains those reported details.

Did either person give a reason?

No motive should be inferred from the cancellation or from the reported wedding arrangements.
PerthNow’s 27 September follow-up recorded that absence of a public explanation.
