DAN DA DAN Season 1 follows high-schoolers Momo and Okarun as their argument over ghosts and aliens draws them into paranormal encounters—and a partnership that begins to develop into romance. The first season has 12 episodes, each listed at about 23 minutes. Where you can stream it depends on your country.
What is DAN DA DAN Season 1 about?
Momo Ayase comes from a family of spirit mediums and believes in ghosts, but not aliens. Her classmate Takakura Ken, known as Okarun, is an occult enthusiast who believes in aliens but not ghosts. Their disagreement leads them to try to prove each other wrong, bringing both into extraordinary encounters with the paranormal. They begin facing those threats together, while their relationship takes on an emerging romantic dimension. This spoiler-light description follows the premise outlined by Aniplex’s official synopsis.
The series combines supernatural action and comedy with romance and shonen storytelling. Ghosts, aliens and teenage relationships all have a place in its mix.
How many episodes are in Season 1?
Crunchyroll lists Season 1 as 12 episodes, with each episode presented at approximately 23 minutes. It dates the season’s debut to October 4, 2024. In Japan, Aniplex’s broadcast schedule lists the start as October 3 at 24:26; that late-night time notation corresponds to October 4 by the ordinary calendar date, rather than indicating a different debut day.
