Why did Miss Nancy order the murder?
The finale ties Nancy’s revenge to Deirdre, Peter, and Alex. Peter had committed a murder, and Deirdre took the blame after following Nancy’s advice. Alex’s testimony helped lead to Deirdre receiving a life sentence. After Deirdre died in prison, Nancy turned her anger toward Alex and his family.

Nancy had become trusted by the Cross family as Damon’s piano teacher. That closeness made the later revelation personal: she used her position near the family while pursuing revenge against Alex.
How does the cabin confrontation end?
The danger reaches Alex’s children at the cabin. Alex and John stop Peter and Nancy. Peter is arrested; Nancy dies by setting herself on fire. These events close the immediate threat, while the Fanboy storyline remains distinct from Maria’s murder.
