Their official guides explain how to schedule recorded streams, but the reviewed pages do not say which timezone those YouTube schedules use or how daylight-saving changes are handled. YouTube Studio does provide an explicit date, time, and timezone for scheduled video publishing; its watch-page publication date follows Pacific Standard Time (PST), which can make the displayed calendar date differ from the one shown in Studio.
Choose a service based on its documented workflow and limits, then confirm timezone behavior directly before relying on a timed broadcast. If you need a channel to play uploaded videos continuously rather than launch a one-off event at a chosen local time, StreamNeo is a separate cloud alternative—not a documented timezone-based event scheduler.
First separate the scheduled time from YouTube’s displayed date
YouTube Studio lets you schedule a video by selecting a date, time, and timezone in the Schedule card. A scheduled upload remains private until its publication time. Separately, YouTube says the “Published on” date shown on a watch page is based on PST. For a public video uploaded, or a private video scheduled, from a timezone ahead of PST, the watch-page date may differ from the date displayed in Studio. These are different questions: the scheduled instant determines when publication is set to occur; the PST rule affects the date label viewers may see. YouTube Help: schedule video publishing
That Studio scheduling guidance is for publishing a video. A prerecorded live broadcast created through a third-party service is a different workflow, and the reviewed provider pages do not establish how those services interpret the scheduled time for YouTube.

What the three services document
All three providers describe a way to schedule prerecorded output for YouTube. Their guides differ in workflow and published capacity, but none of the reviewed prerecorded-stream pages establishes whether the YouTube schedule follows an account timezone, the browser or device timezone, or a selected timezone—or what happens across daylight-saving transitions.
| Service | Documented prerecorded workflow | Published operational details | Timezone behavior for prerecorded YouTube |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamYard | Select “Pre-recorded video,” choose or upload a recording, select destinations, set the date and time, and create the broadcast. StreamYard says it starts automatically at the selected time. Prerecorded streaming guide | StreamYard Help Center limits, accessed in 2026: up to 2 hours on Core, 4 hours on Advanced, and 8 hours on Teams and Business; up to 5 concurrent scheduled prerecorded broadcasts on Core, 10 on Advanced, and unlimited on Teams and Business; schedule up to 365 days ahead. A YouTube share link appears when the broadcast is announced, or when it goes live if no announcement is scheduled. See also StreamYard’s scheduling overview. | Not stated in the reviewed prerecorded-stream help page. Do not infer YouTube behavior from guidance for another destination. |
| Restream | Select “Pre-recorded livestream,” choose a video or playlist, set event details and destinations, then create the event. Restream says prerecorded events air automatically at the scheduled time. Restream prerecorded-event guide | Restream’s reviewed help page lists add-on tiers: Premier supports 2 hours at 1080p, Marathon 4 hours at 1080p, and Media 12 hours at 4K. It also describes looping a prerecorded event up to 10 times. Storage, duration, resolution, and add-on availability depend on plan; verify current terms and pricing before choosing. See Restream’s scheduling guide. | Not stated in the reviewed prerecorded-event help page. Restream’s separate LinkedIn guidance about local-time display does not establish YouTube behavior. |
| OneStream Live | Choose “Pre-recorded Stream,” select content from a device, OneStream storage, or connected cloud storage, choose a destination, enter stream details, and schedule the broadcast. OneStream Live prerecorded scheduling guide | The cited prerecorded scheduling guide describes multiple video sources. Separate OneStream documentation describes recurring streams with a repeat frequency in days or weeks and a chosen number of occurrences; confirm whether recurrence meets your needs and is available for your plan. | Not stated in the reviewed prerecorded-stream help page. |
These are provider-published product limits, not independent performance measurements. Plan names, caps, and add-on availability can change. Restream’s separate YouTube event documentation, dated July 8, 2026, reports that YouTube permits streaming to a scheduled event at any time, without an early-or-late restriction; treat that as Restream’s platform guidance, not as a substitute for checking YouTube’s current rules.

How to choose when timezone accuracy matters
Confirm what the time field means
Before scheduling, ask the provider whether a prerecorded YouTube event’s date and time use the account setting, browser or device timezone, or an explicitly selected zone. Ask whether the schedule holds the same local wall-clock time or the same UTC instant when daylight-saving time changes. The reviewed documentation does not answer those questions for any of the three services.
Check when viewers can access the event
A scheduled broadcast and a public event link are not necessarily available at the same moment. StreamYard says its YouTube share link appears at announcement time, or at go-live if no announcement is scheduled. Restream documents event creation and destination-specific event behavior, but confirm the visibility and link timing for your exact YouTube workflow. If viewers need a link well in advance, verify when it exists and test that it opens as expected.

Match the plan to your publishing cadence
Compare maximum video duration, storage, resolution, and the number of simultaneously scheduled broadcasts with your actual program length and calendar. Limits above are plan-sensitive. Check the provider’s current plan details for your account and region; do not assume an add-on or capacity shown in a help article is included in every subscription.
Plan for changes and cancellations
Ask whether you can change the video, scheduled time, and announcement after creation, and whether edits update the destination event. Restream says unscheduling an event does not automatically remove event posts on several destinations, so check and clean up destination posts separately when cancelling or moving an event.

A timezone-safe scheduling checklist
- Pick one reference timezone. Write the intended local date, time, and zone explicitly for your team and audience, including whether daylight-saving time applies on that date.
- Confirm the provider’s interpretation. Get a direct answer for prerecorded YouTube events about the time field, daylight-saving transitions, and whether changing account or device settings affects an existing schedule.
- Verify destination and event behavior. Make sure YouTube is selected for the prerecorded workflow. Check when the event or shareable watch URL becomes available and what viewers see before it begins.
- Check capacity and edits. Confirm current duration, storage or file-size, resolution, concurrent scheduling, and rescheduling limits for the plan you intend to use.
- Validate a noncritical event first. Schedule a short test at a time you can observe. Check the provider dashboard and YouTube event in the intended timezone; do not use a critical premiere as the first test of an undocumented time setting.
- Recheck close to broadcast time. Confirm the event date and time, destination, video, announcement, and link. If you cancel or reschedule, verify whether the old YouTube event or any destination post needs separate cleanup.
When continuous playback is a better fit
If your goal is a channel that keeps replaying uploaded documentaries or other recordings around the clock—not a one-time broadcast scheduled for a local timezone—StreamNeo is a different kind of option. It runs uploaded videos and playlists as a continuous YouTube stream; it is not documented here as a calendar-based prerecorded-event scheduler.
Or let it run in the cloud
- Upload a recording or build a playlist.
- Add your YouTube stream key once.
- Go live; StreamNeo loops the uploaded content from the cloud.
Nothing has to stay on at home. Each slot streams the upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; StreamNeo says it does not re-encode or use quality tiers. It can automatically recover if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. UPI and cards are accepted in India; card checkout is available worldwide. Start the free day with StreamNeo.
