Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →If you simply want a YouTube video—or playlist—to repeat, use YouTube’s built-in loop control; you do not need a separate cloud service. Cloud services become relevant if you want to host and embed a video on your own site or app, or broadcast prerecorded videos as a continuous YouTube live stream. Those are different jobs, with different setup and costs.
First decide what “looping on YouTube” means
- Repeat a video someone is watching on YouTube: use YouTube’s player loop control. The video remains an ordinary YouTube upload.
- Repeat a sequence of videos: loop a YouTube playlist.
- Host a video on your own website or app: use an on-demand video host that can embed playback outside its own service.
- Keep a prerecorded program live on a YouTube channel: use a live-streaming workflow. A viewer sees a live broadcast, not the ordinary YouTube player repeating a video.
YouTube Help documents repeat playback for an individual video and a playlist, with controls that differ between computer, mobile, TV, and console. Its IFrame Player API also documents continuous playlist looping. For a single YouTube video, start playback and use the player’s context menu to select the loop option where available; on TV and console, use the Repeat control. For a playlist, use its loop control. The exact interface can vary by device and YouTube app version.
What YouTube allows you to upload
YouTube Help says uploads are limited to 15 minutes by default. Verified accounts can upload longer videos, up to 256 GB or 12 hours, whichever limit is reached first. These are upload constraints, not restrictions on how many times a video can repeat in the player. Verify your account and check the current upload requirements before preparing a long documentary or compilation.
Compare the services by the job they perform
These options are not interchangeable. The comparison below separates ordinary YouTube playback, embedded on-demand hosting, and live broadcasting rather than treating all of them as “video looping.” Service limits and prices are those documented in the official sources checked or updated in 2026; fees, quotas, and policies can change.

| Option | Best fit | Limits or cost model | What to weigh |
|---|---|---|---|
| YouTube player loop | Repeating a video or playlist already on YouTube | Uses YouTube’s player controls; no separate cloud-hosting service is needed for the repeat function. | Least setup. Does not provide an independently hosted player for your own website or create a continuous live broadcast. |
| StreamNeo | Running uploaded prerecorded videos as a continuous YouTube live stream | One flat price per slot for any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps; first day free with no card. | Cloud operation means your computer need not stay on. It streams to YouTube only and is not a camera-based live service or a replacement for YouTube’s ordinary loop control. |
| Cloudflare Stream | Managed on-demand hosting and embedding on a site or app | Default maximum upload size is 30 GB. Storage capacity is $5 per month per 1,000 minutes of capacity; delivery is $1 per 1,000 minutes delivered. Ingress and encoding are free, and the documented pricing does not add a separate bandwidth charge. | Estimate stored duration and total viewing time. The service transcodes uploads for playback and supports embeds on domains not hosted by Cloudflare. |
| Amazon IVS | Developer-led live-stream workflows using an encoder, console, or SDK | Separate live input and viewer output charges; output rates vary by resolution, delivery region, and monthly usage tier. A low-latency stream ends after 48 hours and must reconnect. Default per-region quotas are 100 concurrent streams and 15,000 concurrent views; quotas are adjustable. | Designed around live broadcasting, not a simple repeat of an existing YouTube video. Budget depends on the specific workflow and audience. |
| Vimeo | Hosted video use cases where its player and plan fit | Vimeo documents a 2 TB (2,000 GB) monthly bandwidth threshold. | Vimeo says sustained use above the threshold can lead to outreach to discuss a custom plan, reducing usage, or migrating. Check the relevant plan and current terms for your use. |
| AWS CloudFront with AWS Media Services | Custom on-demand or live video architecture | Total cost depends on implementation and workload; no like-for-like total price is established here. | Offers configurable building blocks, but needs more planning and configuration than a turnkey managed video service. |
When a managed host makes sense for an embedded video
If viewers should watch on your documentary site or app rather than on YouTube, a managed on-demand host is the more relevant category. Cloudflare Stream accepts uploads through its dashboard, file, link, and direct-creator-upload paths. Its default upload limit is 30 GB, and it transcodes video for playback that can be embedded on non-Cloudflare domains.
Estimate delivery before comparing bills
Cloudflare Stream’s documented pricing separates stored capacity from delivered minutes: $5 monthly for each 1,000 minutes of storage capacity and $1 for each 1,000 minutes delivered. Ingress and encoding are free, and the documented model does not add a separate bandwidth line item. A cached loop played from a browser or client cache is not billed again for those cached portions according to the pricing documentation; segment requests, preloading, and buffering can count. For a meaningful estimate, work out the stored video duration and expected total viewing time, then consider resolution, concurrency, and viewer locations. Do not compare sticker prices without matching those assumptions.

When the requirement is a continuous YouTube live broadcast
A cloud live-streaming service or workflow is relevant when you want prerecorded material to appear as a live program on a YouTube channel. Amazon IVS supports streams from its console, SDKs, and encoders such as OBS and FFmpeg, but its documented low-latency streams end after 48 hours and must reconnect. Its input and output charges vary with output resolution, delivery region, and usage tier, so it is not directly comparable to on-demand hosting without specifying the workflow.
StreamNeo: a cloud option for prerecorded YouTube programming
StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos: upload a recording or make a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops the uploaded material from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to remain on. StreamNeo is the first option to consider for this specific always-on prerecorded YouTube use case because it offers one price per slot at any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps, with the first day free.

It is distinct from YouTube’s ordinary player loop and from an embedded on-demand host: it sends a live stream to YouTube, plays uploaded videos rather than a camera feed, and does not stream to other platforms. Each slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB of storage per slot pooled across active slots, looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and StreamNeo team support. The same product is included on every plan; only the billing duration changes. Short and long billing options are available, and you can cancel any time.
How to choose without overbuying
- Only need a repeat button? Use YouTube’s loop control or playlist loop.
- Need an embedded documentary player? Compare on-demand hosts by upload limits, embedding needs, stored minutes, expected delivered minutes, and audience geography.
- Need a continuous live channel from prerecorded material? Compare live-stream workflows by setup effort, reconnect behavior, resolution, viewer geography, and input/output billing. For StreamNeo, one slot is one always-on stream; contact its support team for five or more slots.
- Need custom delivery infrastructure? Consider an AWS architecture only after defining the workload and implementation capacity; a total-cost winner cannot be established without those assumptions.
Copyright and YouTube policy still apply
Repeating a video, hosting it elsewhere, or broadcasting it as live does not grant the right to use its footage, music, or other material. Make sure you have the necessary rights and permissions. A valid stream setup also does not guarantee monetization: YouTube evaluates copyright and channel monetization eligibility under its current policies. Review the rules relevant to your content before building a long-running broadcast.
