Its picks ranged from Hall H studio events to smaller-room conversations about comics, directing and a two-decade-old franchise. The dates, times and rooms below are those reported in the July 15, 2024 preview; they are not independently verified final schedule details. Read the original preview and consult Comic-Con International’s official event information for historical context.
What made these 15 panels stand out?
The selection mixed major film and television presentations with sessions centered on creators, craft and franchise history. Hall H hosted many of the biggest studio and franchise draws, while other picks offered a closer focus on comics, toys or a particular creative team. “Most excited” reflects the preview’s editorial judgment, not a measure of audience demand or panel quality.
All times are Pacific Time (PT). The schedule details and appearances below are reported in the preview published July 15, 2024. They describe what was planned before the convention, not a confirmed account of what ultimately happened.

Star Wars: Stories from a Galaxy Far, Far Away
4:15–5:15 p.m., Ballroom 20. Patton Oswalt was slated to host a conversation with people behind the Star Wars Outlaws game and The High Republic books. The preview expected no Star Wars film or television news at Comic-Con, pointing instead to August’s D23 Expo; that was a pre-event expectation, not a report on what either event ultimately announced.

How to read the list now
As a retrospective, the roundup is useful for seeing how one entertainment preview balanced franchise spectacle with smaller creative conversations. Its clearest large-room draws included Marvel Studios, Deadpool & Wolverine, The Rings of Power, Alien: Romulus and Star Trek Universe; its craft- and creator-led choices included Directors on Directing, Marvel Fanfare and 20 Years of Scott Pilgrim. Those categories describe the selection, not an objective ranking.
For the historical event dates and official schedule resources, Comic-Con International’s event guide identifies the convention as July 25–28, 2024, and its past-events archive includes 2024. The official schedule page describes MySchedule as a way for attendees to build personal schedules. These resources provide event context; the panel-level details here remain those reported in the original preview.
