Jeff Dye said in December 2023 that he had been sober for 36 days after an October DUI arrest. A later interview described him as more than two years sober, but those dated accounts do not establish whether he is sober today.
What Jeff Dye said about sobriety
In a December 21, 2023 report, People, republished by Yahoo, said Dye discussed his arrest and drinking on comedian Marco DelVecchio’s Smoochie Town podcast. Dye said, “I’m an alcoholic,” and added, “I have 36 days sober now.” He also described his previous drinking as nightly for “like 20 years.” Those are Dye’s own descriptions, not an independent clinical assessment. Read the December 2023 report.
What later accounts say
A listing for an April 21, 2025 episode of The HoneyDew identifies Dye as a guest and describes a conversation about sobriety and a DUI. The episode listing provides context for the discussion; it does not verify a legal outcome. View the Apple Podcasts listing.
A 2026 Muscle & Fitness interview described Dye as more than two years sober. In that interview he reflected, “Since I’ve stopped drinking, I’m bouncing out of bed compared to the way I used to.” This is a later self-report about his sobriety and how he felt; it is not a current independent status check or medical finding.
