Crediton Youth Service screened The People’s Emergency Briefing at Queen Elizabeth’s School on Monday, 28 September 2026. A Crediton Courier post-event report records 54 attendees, including sixth-form students.
Screening brought students and community members together
The screening took place at QE as a local event hosted by Crediton Youth Service. The advance notice advertised a 50-minute film followed by a community conversation at 3:45 p.m. in the Drama Studio at the school’s Western Road site; those details describe the planned event in the notice, rather than independently confirming the final schedule.
The post-event report says the film was intended to support a shared understanding of the scale and implications of climate and nature breakdown, and to encourage discussion in a public setting. That is the report’s account of the film’s aim, not an independent assessment of its accuracy or impact.
Discussion linked the film to local sustainability work
After the screening, peer educators Zeph and Izzy spoke about their reactions to the film, biodiversity, and Crediton Youth Service projects, including a micro-forest. The subsequent community discussion considered how QE and Crediton might become more sustainable.

Students were also invited to take part in local activities, including Gardening Club and Youth Council, run by Crediton Youth Service and QE. The post-event report describes those invitations but does not establish how many attendees joined or whether the discussion led to specific commitments.

The two Crediton Courier articles provide an advance notice and a post-event account. They do not give the film’s complete credits, detail its scientific content, or establish screening rights, wider availability, or measured outcomes. The post-event report is the source for the attendance figure and descriptions of the discussion.
