The case is docketed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California as Grace O Marcaigh v. Christian Combs, No. 2:25-cv-03650. The claims are allegations, not findings by a court.
What is the lawsuit against Christian Combs?
O’Marcaigh’s case names Christian Combs and Sean Combs as defendants. The federal docket lists the case as having been removed from Los Angeles Superior Court and filed in the Central District of California on April 24, 2025. Justia’s case listing identifies the parties and docket number.
A secondary account says an earlier, April 2024 lawsuit alleged an incident involving Christian Combs during a December 2022 vacation and described O’Marcaigh as a yacht stewardess. The docket summaries reviewed for this account do not establish the specific allegations in the operative complaint, so those details should not be treated as a verified account of the current pleading.
What has happened in court?
- March 31, 2026: The court granted Sean Combs’s motion to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction, with leave to amend. It denied O’Marcaigh’s request for jurisdictional discovery and denied the defendants’ motion to dismiss for failure to state a claim without prejudice. These were distinct issues: the personal-jurisdiction ruling concerned the court’s authority over Sean Combs, while the other motion challenged the sufficiency of the claims.
- April 21, 2026: O’Marcaigh filed a first amended complaint.
- June 29, 2026: Christian and Sean Combs filed a motion to dismiss the amended complaint.
- August 14, 2026: O’Marcaigh filed an opposition to that motion.
The docket summary also lists a July 20, 2026 motion for sanctions filed by Sean Combs. Dr. Docket’s case page, which says it was last updated August 20, 2026, lists hearings for September 4 on the dismissal motion and September 11 on the sanctions motion. The available summary does not verify whether either hearing occurred or whether the court issued an order afterward.

What the docket does—and does not—establish
The filings and procedural entries establish that the lawsuit exists, who is named, and the listed litigation steps. They do not establish that the alleged conduct occurred, resolve the merits, or amount to a criminal conviction. The docket summaries also do not provide a verified, detailed account of the amended complaint’s claims or the defendants’ substantive response. For those details, the operative complaint and motion papers themselves would need to be reviewed.
